13 spp. in 2 subgenera in our area (all but one in the nominate subgenus), ~140 spp. in 7 subgenera total(1)
Range
Holarctic genus, by far more diverse in Eurasia; in our area, P. lucublandus is transcontinental, P. chalcites is widespread in the east, and the rest are western, of which P. scitulus ranges east to MB-TX(1)
