Unknown insect eating plant - Phaedon desotonis

These very small insects have recently taken up residence in the leaves of my lanceleaf coreopsis and seem to be slowly killing the plant, any idea what they are? Sorry for the blurry photos, they’re quite tiny.

Phaedon desotonis
I found an adult, and I believe they’re larvae of Phaedon desotonis, or the coreopsis leaf beetle?
