Dragonfly or Damselfly? - Lestes

Dragonfly or Damselfly? - Lestes
Lansing, Eaton County, Michigan, USA
This was found on an evergreen tree in front of my balcony...which one is it?

Damselfly.
Hello, Ms. Amy:-) This is a "spreadwing" damselfly in the family Lestidae, and a female (ovipositor somewhat visible at the tip of the abdomen; a male would have claspers). If large, consider Archilestes grandis as a possibility. Thanks for sharing your images here!
