Hi Jerry,

It's a male Tawny Emperor. The nature of the dark lines, especially near the front margin of the front wing give it away. You can tell it's a male by the concave shape of the outer margin of the wings.

There's a good underside comparison of the two species here (but remember both are somewhat variable):

No, Empress or Emperor, not a skipper
hard to see which one, but I'd say it's Asterocampa celtis, the emperor, but Like we in Tucson, you get them both
