Paperlike bug - Phereoeca uterella

Paperlike bug - Phereoeca uterella
Mulberry, Polk County, Florida, USA
July 6, 2005
Size: 1/2 inch
Does anyone know what this is? I find these things in my home walking up the walls slowly. Looks like it's made a newspaper! Any ideas?

Clothes moth?
I used to find those on the walls of the house (back home in Argentina) and they were clothes moths. Do you have any holes in your sweaters?

Cocoon empty.
This is the cocoon of a bagworm or casebearer moth caterpillar of some kind. You can see the empty pupal case at the bottom, so whatever was inside is gone now. I am no expert on Lepidoptera, so perhaps someone else can be more specific.

bagworm
Unless it's been changed, this is commonly called a bagworm, but technically not in the Psychidae family. Though closely related, it's a Tineidae. The species is Phereoeca walsinghami, and it is common in Florida.
