unknown moth - Drepanulatrix foeminaria - Female
Aromas, San Benito County, California, USA
October 15, 2008
Size: ~17mm wingspan.
Came to black light. (live oak/chaparral habitat).

Drepanulatrix foeminaria - Hodges#6686

Late Date
I don't know how to ID these but the info page says that this does not fly in the fall. The USGS site says here that it flies in the spring and suggests 6694 - Apodrepanulatrix litaria is similar and flies in the fall.

Edit - 6692 Drepanulatrix monicaria looks similar and has a spring to fall flight period.

Also
Gary has posted many in Drepanulatrix monicaria with 100% DNA matches.

Thank you Nina
