Leptogaster, not Tipulogaster
This actually looks like one of the Leptogaster species that also has the shellacked scutum look (there are a few in the US) instead of Tipulogaster. The stylus looks too long and the postpedicel (first flagellomere) too short to be Tipulogaster, plus the dark leg bands on the hind femur are in the wrong spots.

Robber
The Leptogastrinae were broken up into several genera and this appears to be Tipulogaster glabrata. Amazing to have one come to your screen though they are often captured in malaise flight traps. Many people would not recognize them as robbers. Nice shots.

Thanks for the information.
At first I thought it was an Ichneumon, but the eyes gave it away.
I identified it in the Peterson guide.
