Smoketree Sharpshooter in California (October) - Homalodisca liturata
Webb Canyon, ~2000 ft. altitude, Los Angeles County, California, USA
October 20, 2008
Lateral view.

Photographed on Oleander.

I think everything here suggests liturata: the eye color, color of thoracic and head markings, and pattern on the side of the abdomen.

This is probably liturata, but the head markings aren't visible and vitripennis does occur in AZ too.

Primo! sharpshooter

Thanks Lynette!
