Size: Less than 1 inch.

Hi. I have this tree by the side of my rental house that every year in the spring, has lots of caterpillars that eat away at the tree and I was never able to identify them and today I was fortunate enough to find them in the adult state. So I took pictures. This one is a clear picture of it. I don't know what kind of moth this is. I am guessing a clear wing type of moth. Can anyone identify this for me. I was unable to find it in books or been looking in the wrong category.

Thank you. Yes it looks to be the same and in the email thread of that picture, the timing seems to be the same for the adult to emerge. I am hoping to be able to reduce its numbers eating the tree. It was so bad this past spring that when I walks pass the tree I could here the caterpillars munching away. When I shook the tree, they would hang down from silk threads like Christmas tree ball ornaments. Thus I would wash them off the tree with the garden hose, brush them together which kills them and toss in the compost bin. thank you.
