Interesting green globular springtail - Pseudobourletiella spinata

Interesting green globular springtail - Pseudobourletiella spinata
lake keystone, Pawnee County, Oklahoma, USA
June 10, 2024
Size: 1.5mm
A relatively large globular springtail (1.5mm) that I found on some rocks sticking up from the water in a little stream feeding the lake. The furca looks to be specialized for jumping on water, with long horizontal setae.
