What happened to Poole's Nearctica.com?

I notice it's no longer active. It's sad to lose this resource.

Been inactive for many years, but still available
Poole stopped contributing to the site when he retired, or maybe before then, about 10 years ago--which is a big bummer because he was an excellent Noctuidae systematist, but I suppose enjoying life is important too :)

You can access Nearctica via the Wayback Machine:

That's the nature of the Internet
Website leases aren't permanent. If they a domain name or hosting isn't renewed (with payment), then it expires and can be leased by someone else. Some may actually be hosted by a university rather than by the researcher directly. On a cursory look, I don't see any publications from Poole in just over a decade. Free resources end up being money sinks. Domain snipers (or drop catchers) often get in almost immediately when a domain name lapses and becomes available (and that's presuming this isn't something more malicious, though less likely, like domain hijacking during a lease). So for now, we're left with the web archive. I'll note it on the reference page.
