The banding on the legs makes me think of Eriophora ravilla, but that stripe on the abdomen makes me wonder. Any ideas?

Will, I'd like to keep this one. It has a distinct look that will either be a new pattern for Eriophora or may be something we don't have an image of yet.

Also, the pattern on the back matches well with Araneus gemma, however the legs do not. Compare with

Not sure
but it does seem to fit that genus. Here are the two choices
Eriophora edax (Blackwall, 1863)
Eriophora ravilla (C. L. Koch, 1844)
and here is a Texas list of spiders.
