Pink-spotted Hawkmoth - Agrius cingulata

Pink-spotted Hawkmoth - Agrius cingulata
Oxford, Butler County, Ohio, USA
October 30, 2008
This individual was found clinging (dead) outside our hotel room.

Nice find.
I collected one of these (already dead) in Cincinnati many years ago. I'm under the impression they are somewhat migratory, and don't show up that far north very regularly.

thanks....
That is interesting. This was a first time we've seen this species. Since it was dead, we also collected this one.
