While inspecting my astilbe for green bug nymphs I came across this Katidid ?

Scudder Bush Katydid (scudderia) maybe
Judging by this pick in the guide Id'd via the orange spots on the thorax and similarity in antennae. From the look of your image your specimen seems to be missing a hind leg?
