Striped scorpion - Centruroides vittatus

Striped scorpion - Centruroides vittatus
Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, USA
November 2, 2008
Size: 1"
Ready for winter under stones in a glade area.

Introduced population
Cool, this is from one of the several introduced populations of the striped scorpion. Nice photo!

Glad you liked it,
My friend who led me to this location says that they were imported here on hay bales from texas. He is a rock turning snake guy, where I am not. We found two HUGE black widows under the same debris the scorpions were under. I now call this location Venom Hill!

location
Would you give us the exact location by GPS? All we "scientists" have is "Murfreesboro". It had long been thought that these populations were from mesquite for restaurants.
