should be bicarinata
Moved from Stenelmis.

Stenelmis sp., female
Voucher specimen, thanks Tom.

Probably either maerkelii or vittipennis sensu Brown 1972, but names have changed, so I think that means either grossa or bicarinata. Using Hilsenhoff & Schmude's key (1992) of Wisconsin species, I get to bicarinata. Hopefully you've sent a male so I can confirm. I don't think the images under bicarinata are correctly placed.

fingers crossed for a male
I collected a fair number of Stenelmis and surprisingly all the ones that showed up weren't encrusted.
