Size: about 10.5 mm
This brown and tan stink bug, seen on a Jimsonweed (Datura wrightii) leaf in Culp Valley (elevation about 3200') on 3 May 2004,in structurally very similar to another pentatomid I just submited, #238019. The colors are quite different. Possibly a female? or closely related species.

Pentatomids are difficult to tell apart. Any help will be appreciated.

Stink Bug
I found two of these little guys in my daughter's new house in Pennsylvania. Is this bug normal to this area?

Can someone tell me why its called a stink bug?

Thanks for your help.

This is an excellent bug id site.
