Axion tripustulata - Axion tripustulatum

Axion tripustulata - Axion tripustulatum
Ft. Tilden, Queens County, New York, USA
June 3, 2008
Size: 7 mm
Found on ocean beach. Besides the obvious red mark at the "shoulder" there is a small red mark at the inner edge of each elytron and somewhat posterior (to right in this photo). Hard to see in photo, but just to right of higher flash spot.

Thanks for your help - again. I had seen this in Gordon, but was concerned about the western range. Just discovered that the legend on the map is in error - has the 2 Axion's reversed.
