Robber Fly - Holcocephala abdominalis

Robber Fly - Holcocephala abdominalis
Pickerington Ponds, Franklin County, Ohio, USA
July 25, 2008
Can this be narrowed down any further than Holcocephala?

As per discussions under shots at that genus. Florida has three species. This is most likely H. abdominalis. Fine shot. People who have not seen these do not realize how tiny they are. Difficult to shoot.
