eurytomid - Male
Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
July 20, 2024
Size: body 2mm
I haven’t been able to take this one to genus; I can take it through DiGulio’s couplet 20 (1) but he wrote “Males run through the key up to couplet 20 and cannot be separated reliably beyond this couplet.” Burks’ eurytomid key is based on females (2) (“The classification of the Eurytomidae is based almost entirely on the females. Genera based on males must remain unplaced until females can be associated with these males. (2))
