I have taken pictures of different parts of the body of this dung roller, including macros of the head and the prothoracic, mesothoracic, and metathoracic tibias. I have included a picture of the apical spur on the metathoracic leg.

i wonder what kind of instrument was used here to measure size with 0.01 mm accuracy

I am using brand new Husky brand digital calipers. Measures to the 0.01mm

That sounds nice and expensive. How much did it cost?
Fortunately for me...most bugs don't need measurements that are that precise.

 
Not sure.
My advisor bought these for our lab. I don't necessarily need to measure them this precisely, but if it can help with ID, it's easy provide.
