Anomala orientalis? Or is it a dung beetle? Found in a shallow puddle. I'm curious about the mites(?) as well.

Anomala orientalis
I believe this is the dark color form for this species.

Not Scarabaeinae. I don't think this is a dung beetle because the scutellum is very prominent, and isn't in most dung beetles. I can't confirm Anomala or say what other subfamily it is unfortunately
