Large Syrphid with Meaty Rear Leg - Palpada mexicana? - Palpada mexicana - Female

I'm guessing Palpada, but am probably way off. I've seen legs like that only on smaller syrphids. Anybody know this one?

I don't think you're way off...
and Palpada mexicana seems to be a good match. But we'll wait for a Syrphid expert...
