Size: 1/4" or less (estimated)
Stratiomyidae- Soldier Fly (Myxosargus Sp) on a leaf of Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata), 8/17/2024, The Landing's Sparrow Field, Skidaway Island, Savannah, Ga.

This fly-like insect appeared to be 1/4" or less in length. Might it be Myxosargus nigricornis)? This locate is the first time I have ever observed this species!
