Hemiterid - Alydus eurinus

Hemiterid - Alydus eurinus
Northwest, Minnesota, USA
September 21, 2008
So many "bugs" and no really good images of them. Hope someone can narrow it down for me. Thanks

Moved
Moved from Alydus.

Alydidae
Are they feeding on a dead animal?!?!

Delicate
Actually, they are feeding on a dead animal (probably squirrel) after it's passed through a larger animal.

ABC-squirrel scavengers
That's quite something. I was under the impression alydids were strictly phytophagous. Cool!

Not an ID, but I'm guessing a broad headed bug???

I agree
not an ID but similar to Alydus eurinus

yes, Alydus eurinus

Looks like that's it.
Thanks Matt and John. With your info, it does look like A. eurinus, but I will leave it classified as Alydidae. Thanks
