Consists of two externally inseparable species with overlapping ranges in the western US and Canada:
Herthania concinna (LeConte, 1853)
Herthania yoshitomii Klausnitzer 2016
Identification
Both species are all photos shown in guide for this species should be treated as potentially being either species. Both species are generally black with striking orange-yellow markings on the elytra. Dissection is required for identification following Kalusnitzer (2016).
