Squash Bug - Anasa tristis

Squash Bug - Anasa tristis
Chantilly, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
November 15, 2008
According to the key of Baranowski and Blatchley, I determined this bug as a Squash Bug (= Anasa tristis).

Among the five species in E North America, armigerus and scorbuticus have predominant spines on the head. Among the remaining three species, andresii and repetita have fourth antennal segments yellowshi or reddish.

Is there a limit to the length of characters?
That is, only tristis has unicolorous antennae without spines on the head.
