Female Agriope Aurianta odd behavior? Or, no it happens.

I truly hope this is in the correct forum, it is my first post so please forgive me if it is not. I am also not an entomologist so again, please excuse the lay language.

I have three gorgeous Auriantas that are not following the rules as I have read them.
They have all completed their egg sacs approx 3 weeks ago (I was thrilled to actually catch one of the girls that I named "the bench warmer" Beni for short, in the middle of completing hers, which still took well over an hour. Anyway, here's where my complete confusion is coming in, they're still alive and Berni has fattened up and appears to be preparing to assemble another sac. Charlotte (my mother was responsible for that one) had already built one on August 21st and was actively in the process of her second one on September 4th (I was actually able to get a good portion of it on video!) when disaster struck and she was stung or injured by something and died before being able to enclose the eggs. I took both sacs to a friend who breeds and raises exotic Mantids and will care for the unprotected eggs, have no fear her exotics don't eat anything that small!
My questions are:

1: Why are the other two still alive? I'm not mad about it though!
2: They make 2 egg sacs!?
3: Could the above be because they're young?
4: Do they protect their egg sacs? I want to move them as they are NOT in a safe location.
5: Can they be fed grubs and earthworms? I have been searching for that information since I brought them home and can find nothing.
6: Referring back to question 3, IF they are young and I believe them to be, as they were the smallest by at least 1/2-2/3, will they not continue to mature?
Any and all comments, recommendations or guidance appreciated.
I would add pics, but am not sure how to add them to this specific post. I don't need an ID (and don't want to get in trouble with my very first post!

Hmm...
I do not have any answers that I can offer quickly (I would have to do some research myself to answer some of your questions) but do applaud you for your detailed natural history and observations. Hopefully someone can get you an answer.

Oops she did it again
Hi Chad that's my hope as well! I'm going to update post to reflect that "Benny" has gifted me with another egg sac over the weekend and made it safely back onto her web!
I am trying to navigate this site and it's not easy! I'm finally down to just trying to locate books, but that's not going any better.
