But it looks like an orb weaver to me. I know little about spiders, but that looks like an orb weaver of some kind to me.

I can't think of other examples right now, but I'm sure there are other spiders that color in other Families.

Yes, I am sure there are other similarly colored, but everytime I see a spider with yellowish abdomen and red/orange for everything else, it always turns out to be an orb weaver. I am not saying would it be a fool-proof assumption, but is it normally safe to suggest a type of orb weaver?

And that does look like a very good match on the spider.

 
Not by color
I don't make suggestions of orb weaver by color. Orb weavers are easily identified by their body shape and eye arrangment.
