Size: 4.4 mm
Elevation = 2,045 m (6,709 ft), GPS = 39.3105, -120.4038.
South of Soda Springs 2.1 km (1.67 mi) on Pahatsi Rd.
Caught while I was sweeping vegetation with an aerial net.

I was sorting and identifying my bees and found this hiding there, but don't know where to sort it to. Please help me. Interesting wing venation.

Wow.
I really didn't think it was a bee, but if I had tried the key in Carril & Wilson, I would have found it in two key couplets. That is a nice surprise. Those scales fooled me into maybe Crabronidae. That bee book is still new to me!

If I can add another character picture to get to species, let me know. Only 2 species & characters are mentioned in that book, and one of them isn't listed in BG.
