Another one during the day. Are they the ones called tumble bugs?
They looked a bit worn and tired, also found some dead ones. When do they emerge?

Year round
in coastal SC and also seem to be very attracted to dead birds/feathers - no clue why. The largest congregation I've ever seen - more than a dozen individuals on a dead hawk.

Deltochilum
D. gibbosum gibbosum (Fabricius). In my experience they seem to be active year around in Florida.

Canthonini
