Barklouse nymph (or female?) - Teliapsocus conterminus

Barklouse nymph (or female?) - Teliapsocus conterminus
Parkwood, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
November 19, 2008
Size: 3 mm
A nymph, or a short-winged adult (female?). The body appears to be full sized. Body length measured. It was found in the same area of leaf litter as this adult male, and the markings, etc. look similar, so I think(!) it is the same species:

In fact, now that I think about it, I was looking at the short-winged one on a leaf and suddenly the long-winged one (male) appeared. Oy vez!--that is what was going on (perhaps).
