Stink Bug - Oebalus mexicanus

Stink Bug - Oebalus mexicanus
Madera Canyon - Coronado NF, Pima County, Arizona, USA

The description for Solubea mexicana (I guess the species name has changed to mexicanus at some point?) notes the presence of those markings for mexicana but doesn't mention anything with respect to pugnax. I was curious about these being a useful feature for distinguishing pugnax and mexicana from photos and reached out to Scott Bundy and Joe Eger. Both agreed that all of their mexicana have those markings while none of their pugnax do. However- neither had specimens of pugnax from Arizona or New Mexico, so it's not entirely impossible that western pugnax could have those markings. But both Bundy and Eger thought it might be a useful character, so moving these connexivial-marked pugnax to mexicana for now at least until we get something that says otherwise.
