Platphalonidia aenigmana Brown, 2024, n. sp., with generic assignment "somewhat provisional", is possibly of South American origin.

USA: AZ, CA, OR; Colombia.
Holotype: Oregon: Lane Co.: 3 mi SW Dunes City.
Food
USA: Garrya elliptica, G. fremontii, Arctostaphylos sp.; Columbia: Gomphrena globosa.
