I noticed that there are several mites on it.

Moved from Mites and Ticks. I duplicated the image and placed it here so it would appear in both families since there are two species. Not sure what the procedure is and correction is welcome.

Good idea
I wish that more people did this. We have many parasites that could be included in the parasite pages if only contributors thought of doing the same thing.

Deutonymphs
The smaller light colored mites are probably in the family Histiostomatidae (they have long thin front legs held in a particular position), and the larger browner mite with the shorter fore legs is probably in the family Acaridae. Both are Astigmatid mite deutonymphs.
