Coloration and 23 pairs of legs indicates this is Scolopocryptops sexspinosus. The range of S. sexspinosus does appear to extend into the the southern states.

Thanks, that sure does look like him. We found him in OKC so I guess he made it at least this far south. I let him go back into the garden after I scanned him. Him and his soldier beetle buddy.
