Do you have this specimen?
briggsi and californicus are tricky to ID. It may require dissection and slide preparation to be sure. I am basing my decision on the faint marking on the margin of the forewing. This is a male and one would have to get a close-up view of the phallosome to distinguish it from californicus.

unfortunately
I probably do not have the specimen. I'll hopefully have the wherewithal to do more collecting next season (hopefully in AZ if my moving plans work out...)
