Are you sure it is not something in subgenus Melanoconion? I was thinking those light scales behind the eye look a bit broad. Also I don't think I see any middorsal acrostichal setae. Perhaps it could be Culex peccator.
I could be wrong though. I probably am.

 
Chalk it up to my wonky photography.
While the lighting I used made the colors dazzle, it totally obscured key features such as the ones you mentioned. I took another photo of the same specimen, with a ring lamp directly overhead, and the setae just popped right out. I just uploaded it.
