To me, this looks more like a
male Tulip-Tree Moth (Callosamia angulifera).

 
I'm new at this so...
I appreciate feed back and corections to any of my mistakes. I looked through alot of pictures on this site trying to I.D. this guy and I saw a Promethea Moth that looked remarkably simalar. What is the difference that I missed, so I know to look for it in the future?

 
Male prometheas almost never have distinct angular markings
in the centers of the wings like angulifera. The very similar C. securifera doesn't seem to occur as far north as Tennessee.
