Probably a New Species for North America.....
.... North of Mexico. It is unknown to experts to whom the photos have been sent, and is most probably a wandering tropical species. If the species is encountered again take all specimens possible for DNA, genitalic and other studies.

Jerry, I am pretty sure it is not a Petrophila. It is a catocaline noctuid of some kind (Noctuoidea: Erebidae: Catocalinae).
