Synonyms and other taxonomic changes

Although listed under Acrocercopinae by Eiseman & Davis (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023)(1), this species is here placed in Ornixolinae; it is clearly closely related to quinquistrigella.

Explanation of Names

"Acrocercops" albomarginatum (Walsingham, 1897), prov. pl. (misplaced), is now recognized within the North American fauna from Arkansas. (Eiseman & Davis in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023)(1)

Range

USA: AR, OK, TX. (USNM, BOLD).
Type locality: West Indies - St. Thomas.
