Moved from Cutworm or Dart Moths.

New species and genus for BugGuide. ID is tentative but looks good.

10597.1 [Hyssia] degenerans?
See image and mapping data point at MPG here. Can you add a higher resolution image?

image with higher resolution
Steve: Thank you for the ID. I have a photo that may have more resolution than the one posted, but I think it too has been cropped. Where should I send it?

check MPG
Check MPG here. If you think that what you have can improve the image, send to steveATstevenanzDOTcom. Don't worry about the crop as long as the entire moth is shown. Thanks!

Confirmed
"Your photo is most certainly Hyssia degenerans. It is a good match, the location is right and the time of year is when I have seen fresh specimens in west Texas." - James Vargo, pers. comm. 9/17/2017.

Again, a higher res image would be great. I'd like to post at MPG. Thanks!
