Strongly dimorphic: Male with two dentiform projections on declivity, and pronotum with concave front margin, edges cornute; in females, declivity with blunt hump, pronotum apically rounded/truncate

injured/dying/recently dead trees(4)
Food
hosts: deciduous trees(2); may attack pecan, peach, plum, apricot, pear, ash, butternut, hickory, maple, apple and grape (Mulder 2014)

one generation/yr; adults overwinter (mostly head downward in larval galleries)(4)
