Size: 1 mm
In a child's hair. Presumably a head louse. The cocoon makes it hard to match to pictures.

Aren't head lice hemimetabolous?
There shouldn't be a cocoon.

How about
some bug that got caught and swaddled by a spider in silk and then sucked dry and discarded? Easy for discarded spider prey items to wind up in all sorts of funny places.
