Semi-aquatic mite

Semi-aquatic mite
North Bay, Nipissing, Ontario, Canada
Size: 1mm
found living with springtails found here https://bugguide.net/node/view/2445348 not sure if they were feeding on the springtails, or just were living alongside them on the surface of the water.
Did not see any eye spots or identifying features, was moving mouthparts during photographing. No idea what group it belongs to.

Terrestrial
This looks more akin to a terrestrial mite. Aquatic mites seldom have a defined head like this. Hopefully a mite expert can ID this one.
