Genus Graptocorixa in small freshwater pool with running inflow on Santa Cruz Island in the Channel Islands, CA, USA - Graptocorixa

There were 2 kinds of water boatmen in this pool, but the one you see here was the one that struck me as unusual and something I haven't seen before. It moved differently from the usual kind that just "rows" around below the surface. This one "flitted" like a fly and then would perch in a shallow area and stay stationery.

location data needs major correction
says, "...Santa Barbara County, CA, USA, CA County, California, USA"
also, in the title, genus name misspelled and redundant location info included

genus typo fixed; location info not
I'd like to fix the location, but unfortunately, I didn't type "LA county," nor do I see how to fix it. That is my default location, but that's not where the insect was. Santa Barbara County, CA, is correct for location of the Channel Islands.
