Zagloba ornata
from "the book"
(
1
)
, this appears to be
Zagloba ornata
(Horn) (described under
Cephaloscymnus ornatus
). Type is stated to be in the MCZ under
C. ornatus
here
. Distro: most of CA, and southern AZ.
For the genus, Gordon states the following: "These species are not commonly collected and I have not seen host data for any of the US species (4) - but likly scale preditors."
Great find! And another new species for BugGuide :)
