Small December moth from North Georgia. ID assistance appreciated. - Chionodes
Pickens County, Georgia, USA
December 10, 2008
Size: 12 mm. length approx.
After a bit of a warm spell in N. Georgia (for Dec.), I thought I'd check the porch lights to see if any moths were around. This tiny moth is what I found. Overall length was approx. 10-12 mm.
So far, I haven't been able to ID this one.

My first guess would be Chionodes, but I'm not certain.

See MPG images in Gelechiinae here and in Dichomeridinae here. Note how different the pinned examples are from the live one. I think it may be a while yet before these get sorted out.
