how bad are the local coprophage communities affected?

 
no real affect in SC
not common, unlike Onthophagus gazella and taurus - sometimes the only species seen, especially in the summer

weird... i remember nice cowpies in Transcaucasia where you could easily collect a dozen Aphodius spp., 5-6 Onthopagus + Copris, Ontis, Chironitis, Oniticellus, Caccobius, Sisyphus, Gymnopleurus -- all in one pie...
