Amblysellus curtisii? - Stirellus bicolor

Amblysellus curtisii? - Stirellus bicolor
Brazos Bend State Park, Fort Bend County, Texas, USA
December 13, 2008

Moved
Moved from Leafhoppers. We think we have been keeping up with the new IDs, but did note that you seemed to have skipped over 245466. Many other unidentified or unconfirmed images can be found here on Cicadellidae.

Stirellus bicolor
Yet another magnificent color variety of Stirellus bicolor, showing the characteristic iridescence and the very narrow head between the eyes.

This color variety is a first! (It's not in our collection, and has not been reported in the literature). You must be having a very warm December - this appears to be a "winter" variety but with the "summer" iridescence.
